Camp Zavarian

Camp Zavarian at Crescenta Valley (CV) Meher & Satig Der Ohanessian Youth Center is announcing to have another exciting 7 week summer camp this year, beginning June 19 – Aug 4, 2023, for ages 5-13 years old.

The camp operation will be directed and supervised by Mrs. Arpi Dabbaghian, who has many years of experience leading summer camp daily routine along with several assistants.

The mission of Camp Zavarian is to provide a safe, social, and educational environment to preserve our Armenian heritage, culture, traditions and language. and learn social skills  and character building while interacting with others during the camp routine. Children will enjoy a variety of activities, such as zumba, yoga, Armenian folk dance, drama, arts & crafts, cooking, sports games, swimming in the presence of a lifeguard.

The summer camp will operate daily from 8 Am to 5 PM. Weekly tuition will be $ 380 /per child and daily $ 100 per child. Weekly $50 discount will be given to all siblings (doesn’t apply for daily). Including Healthy and Nutritional meals will be served daily: Breakfast, lunch and snacks. Additional fee of $20 per occurrence will be charged for late pick up or extended hour(s ).

For more than a dozen consecutive years, the Crescenta Valley (CV) Meher & Satig Der Ohanessian Youth Center is happy to conduct a 7-week day-camp for area children starting June 20 through August 5, 2022. The camp will take place under the supervision of experienced Director Mrs. Arpi Dabbaghian and several assistants.

The camp’s mission is to allow for a fun, friendly and educational environment in a safe location. The day camp will be held at our Center for children ages 5 and up. Children will enjoy various activities ranging from swimming (in the presence of a lifeguard), acting, cooking, children’s yoga, dance routines, games, arts & crafts. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks will be served each day. The language of instruction is Armenian.

Summer camp will be open on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parents who need to pick-up their children late can benefit from the available extended hours for an additional fee of $10 per occurrence or $30 per week. The weekly camp attendance fee is $350 per child per week ($280 for the 4-day 3rd week) or $90 per child per day.

Due to capacity limitations, only pre-paid and accepted applications can be assured a space at the camp.

We also accept high-school students as volunteer Jr. Assistants and fill out their community service hours in return (for the hours they have volunteered at the camp).
